Tuscany maintains a worldwide reputation of leadership in the Yachting Industry.

The Yachting Industry in Tuscany is mainly represented by the construction of large yachts where the first world producer of yachts, Azimuth-Benetti, with a turnover of almost 900 million of euro, is located together with other majorplayers of this industry (Perini, Codecasa, San Lorenzo, Fipa, etc.).

Yachting companies that operate in Tuscany are very successful as they have recorded, in the past four years, an average growth of 32 %.while 13% of them have doubled in size.

In Tuscany 788 companies operate directly employing over 5.000 persons of whom about 4.000 are involved in the construction of yachts.

The exports of the Tuscan yachting industry represent 20% of thetotal Italian exports of its yachting industry and 3% of the total exports of the Region.
